We have a most fascinating meeting arranged in connection with the new and major Art Institute show, The Artist Looks at People. As the title of the exhibition indicates, the show is comprised of paintings and sculpture about people drawn from the Art Institute's large permanent collection and includes works from Roger Van der Weyden to Ivan Albright. For this unique show we have invited two speakers, Mr. George Buehr, Acting Director of the Art Institute's Museum Education Department, and Dr. Harvey Lewis, eminent psychoanalyst. As you all know, Mr. Buehr is a brilliant speaker. He will discuss the exhibition from the aesthetic point of view. Dr. Lewis will discuss the psychological implications of the show. These two men should prove excellent foils for each other. Our President, Sigmund Kunstadter, will act as Master of Ceremonies. To make matters even livelier, the program will take place in the East Wing Galleries of the Art Institute where the exhibition is on view.
