The Society will open its 1956-57 season with an illustrated talk by Daniel Catton Rich entitled: If I were a collector, this is what I would buy. I remind you that under Mr. Rich's direction the Art Institute has become one of the leading institutions of its kind in the world. Its reputation is a formidable one in the field of art. There is no one better qualified to talk on the subject of art collection -- a subject of great interest to each member of our Society, since our primary purpose is the understanding and intelligent encouragement of creative art.
